The First BioAjax meeting

The first Bioajax meeting was held by the people in KOBIC and Dr. Kim SangSoo. Dr. Kim came from NonSan and wanted to suggest an Ajax project with Insilicogen inc. With JiHong Kim, JungSoo Ahn, Sungjin Yand and Jong Bhak, first discussion on its feasibility was discussed. Dr. Kim met other KOBIC members at GuiBin restaurant to discuss further ideas on Integromics(integration of all the omics using tools such as Ajax).
The conclusion of the meeting was to make proper biological questions for bioinformatics projects. BioEngine can be a good infrastructure for integrating omics (BioMatrix is a similar project). The talk had a more detailed points such as making Ajax using genome browser with data that are scattered around in the world but not necessarily deposited in NCBI or KOBIC. -- Jong
